Hola Amigos/Amigas,
We successfully accomplished day 2 of work in Masca. Amongst playing in barro, mud, eating coca leaves, and dog watching we are seeing great progress in our projects. Some groups even skipped lunch and stayed after our designated time because of their dedication, work ethic, and a bit of stubbornness. Every group has seen significant growth in their eco-toilets with the walls being built and cement laid down. The passion among the group has exponentially grown each day despite sleep deprivation. Working with these families has truly been an honor thus far learning the traditions, customs, and language. We are excited and privileged to be spending the rest of the week with these families anxious to soak in as much as we can. Tomorrow we continue our building and cultural emersion. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for updates on our upcoming dog watching blog as well as Pacha sightings.Adios,
Tony
